Denison Witmer |
|
Almost a decade ago, Witmer quietly released his first collection of
songs entitled Safe Away. Meant as a gift for friends and family, "Safe
Away" went unpublicized - though it soon caught on publicly, and it serves as a
starting point to what Witmer refers to as his "accidental career." Following
the critical success of his last record, Are You A Dreamer?, The Militia
Group decided to revisit Denison's extensive catalog and re-release a disc from
the collection. Safe Away was the clear choice; not only does the record
serve as an early career landmark, but it was also produced and engineered by
Don Peris (The Innocence Mission), who subsequently produced Are You A
Dreamer? - The Militia Group
Safe Away comes as a double disc featuring Witmer's latest EP
entitled Are You A Sleeper? as well as live and bonus tracks.
